In line with the SDG #4, Quality Education, CICI aims to provide meaningful and relevant education and awareness programs to those at risk of the brunt of environmental and climate change issues. Food security, resource management and education go hand in hand with what CICI is trying to acheive. We aim to help share information relevant to the improvement of the environment. We aim for freedom of education and SDG #5, Gender Equality within our programs.

CICI have implemented a dedicated program specifically designed to teach 17 under privileged village women from Milne Bay in scuba diving and marine reef surveying techniques. Big thank you to PADI.com and WaterLust for their contributions to the program.

A further 30 participants in a workshop spanning 4 days on LMMA selection, monitoring, and implementation. You can learn more about LMMA's here and our Reef Guardian Program.

With our presence and on going support we hope to

encourage a shift in behaviors towards ecologically sound practices, resource management and the health of the environment. Assist in the implementation of LMMA’s throughout communities that we have a partnership with and see an increase of women in conservation locally.
